EVF GORILLA PLATE BRACKET

$240.00$228.00

The EVF Gorilla Plate Bracket is used to mount the EVF onto any of the Zacuto Gorilla Kits that use a Gorilla Plate. It can also be used to mount the EVF onto the DSLR Baseplate. The EVF Gorilla Plate Bracket includes a “sling” bracket which mounts to the Gorilla Plate or DSLR Baseplate using the two allen screws that also attach the red thumb screw block to the plates. (If you are familiar with mounting the Z-Finder Frame on the Gorilla Plate or DSLR Baseplate, the sling bracket is mounted the same way). At the end of the sling bracket is a Z-Mount Zwivel which allows you to attach the EVF Pan and Tilt Mount (included). The Z-Mount Zwivel gives you the ability to position the EVF in a few different ways. Attached to the EVF Pan and Tilt Mount is the ZicroMini. The ZicroMini then attaches to the bottom of the EVF with its 1/4″ 20 screw. This allows you to quickly release your EVF from the mount with the flip of a lever.

Z-Finder JR

$265.00$251.75
Quick View

Z-Finder JR

$265.00$251.75

The Z-Finder Jr. is an excellent starter viewfinder that. offers a 2.5x focusable magnification, a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical design lens, a large form fitting eyecup preventing extraneous light leakage, and a field of view perfectly matched to 3″ LCD screens. It does not have an anti-fog coated lens. Therefore if you are going in between extreme environments, you will need some type of anti-fog wipe or material.

The Jr. mounts to the camera using our Jr. stainless steel mounting bracket. The mounting bracket must be sandwiched in between your tripod plate and camera. The bracket mounts to the 1/4 20″ screw on your tripod and the Jr. is held in place with pressure from the fork of the bracket it sits in. This bracket cannot be quickly released from your camera; you must unscrew your tripod plate from the bottom of your camera to release the bracket. The bracket must be removed when shooting photos because it will interfere with using the cameras photo optical viewfinder. If you need to quickly move between photos and video, you might want to consider one of the Z-Finder Pro models.

The Jr. has an adjustable focal point by using the Zacuto Extender Frames(TM) which allow you to semi-permanently stack frames onto the skirt. The Extender Frames(TM) push the Z-Finder Jr. optics further way from the LCD screen until it is in focus for you. The Extender Frames will get the focus close but might not be exact as you can’t dial it in with a diopter, as you can with our Pro models The adjustable focal point is a advantage over our competitors who have a fixed focal point viewfinder; thus accommodating everyone. If you have perfect vision, wear contacts or don’t mind wearing your glasses while shooting then the Jr. might be a good option for you.

The Z-Finder Jr. Mounting Bracket only works with small bodied DSLR cameras such as the Canon 5d/7d. If you would like to use the Z-Finder Jr on a small bodied DSLR with a battery or a taller bodied camera such as the Canon 1D Mark IV, you will need to use the Gorilla Plate as well as the battery grip frame or the taller body frame or the snap fit adhesive frame.

The Jr. comes in at $265.00, which is a great price for an adjustable focal point viewfinder with a lifetime warranty; just be sure it works for your needs.

Z-FINDER PRO 2.5X

$395.00$375.25
Quick View

Z-FINDER PRO 2.5X

$395.00$375.25

With the Z-Finder Pro, we have two different models. We have a Z-Finder Pro with 2.5x magnification and a Z-Finder Pro with 3x magnification. The Z-Finder Pro models offer a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical design anti-fog coated lens, a large eyecup preventing extraneous light leakage and a field of view perfectly matched to 3″ LCD screens. With the anti-fog coated lens, going between extreme environments will not be a problem. Additionally, when shooting for longer periods of time with a lens that has not had a anti-fog treatment applied, fogging will occur. This is something to keep in mind when deciding between the Jr. and Pro models; as the Jr. does not have an anti-fog coated lens.

The Pro models mount to your camera using our Gorilla Plate and Z-Finder aluminum mounting frame. There are different Z-Finder Mounting Frames depending on your camera. We have one for short body cameras such as the Canon 5d Mark II, Canon 7D, Canon 550D, and Nikon D90. We have a frame for short body cameras with battery grips such as the Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 7D and Nikon D90. Then we have a frame for taller bodied cameras like the Nikon D3s and Canon 1D Mark IV.

The Gorilla Plate attaches to the bottom of your camera using the standard tripod screw hole. The Gorilla plate also has (2) 1/4 20″ threads on the bottom and a locking pin for mounting a tripod plate; therefore you can quickly go between handheld and tripod. The Z-Finder Mounting Frame attaches to the Gorilla Plate using two thumb screws and gently presses on your LCD with rubber preventing any light leakage, as well as scratching. The mounting frame does not adhere to your camera. The Z-Finder Pro then snaps on and off the mounting frame for the ability to quickly move between photos and videos. The frame does not interfere with the cameras photo viewfinder. This is a huge advantage over the Jr. but it may not be necessary for all shooters.

The Z-Finder Pro focuses with a diopter; therefore you can dial in the exact focus for your eyes. If you need extra focal point, you can also use the Zacuto Extender Frames(TM) to extend the Z-Finder glass further away from the LCD screen. This is important for people who are farsighted and/or people who wear reading glasses.

The Z-Finder Pros (2.5x Anti-Fog & 3x Anti-Fog) list price is $395.00 and like all Zacuto products includes a lifetime warranty.

C300 Studio Baseplate with 12″ rods

$400.00

The C300 Studio Baseplate is made specifically for the EOS C300 camera. It is exceptionally flat which helps keep the center of gravity low. This baseplate features a pair of 15mm rods that are 12 long running through the length of the baseplate. You can quickly reposition the rods for various lens lengths by loosening the 2 levers, one on each side of the baseplate.

On each side of the baseplate there is also a set of 15mm lightweight holes. The side holes take 15mm female rods that are locked via an Allen screw. This gives users a virtually unlimited amount of mounting options. With these side holes, you have the option of turning the baseplate into a cage configuration.

Another option is to mount a Zwiss Plate with professional batteries off of the side of the baseplate when shooting on a tripod for better balance. When not using a cage configuration, the side holes can be used for an EVF, Zacuto articulating arms, rods and more. The baseplate also has standard ¼ 20 and 3/8 16 holes on the bottom for mounting the rig onto a tripod.

The C300 Studio Baseplate attaches to the camera with 3/8 16 and ¼ 20 screws*. This Baseplate is perfect for a rig like the C300 Stinger or an advanced tripod rig with rods coming off of the back end for external power, etc.

Target Shooter

$500.00$450.00

The Target Shooter is our lightest kit. It has three points of contact by having both hands on the camera and the gunstock in your chest. The entire kit is infinitely adjustable. You can add a fourth point of contact by adding one of our Z-Finders to the kit.

The Gorilla Plate, included with the Target Shooter, attaches to the bottom of your camera using the standard tripod screw hole. The Gorilla plate has a 15mm hole in the bottom which allows you to attach the main rod for the Target Shooter. The rig can be freed from the Gorilla plate by flipping the red lever. A tripod plate can be installed on the Gorilla plate for quickly moving from handheld to tripod by.

The Target Shooter can not accommodate a follow focus or matte box as it does not have a base plate. Once you add more weight to the front of the camera, such as a follow focus and matte box, we recommend going to our Cinema DSLR Kits that have a shoulder pad and counterbalance weight to properly balance the rig.

EVF Snap

$675.00$641.25

The Zacuto Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) is a 3.2 high resolution monitor designed to be used in conjunction with any Z-Finder model. The EVF is compatible with all cameras that have an HDMI output, including most DSLRs, the Panasonic AF-100, Sony F3, Canon C100/300/500, RED ONE, RED Scarlet, RED Epic and many, many more. The EVF is compatible with the Blackmagic Camera (and other SDI only cameras) with use of a converter like the Blackmagic HD-SDI to HDMI mini converter. The EVF allows you to operate with your camera “in-line” with your rod system and an offset viewfinder in front of your eye. We believe this traditional film camera and ENG camera style of shooting is the most stable and comfortable. Now we can work this way with any camera! The EVF enhances the stability of any set up, gives you better resolution and focus ability, allows you to get your eye where it most comfortably needs to be, enables low mode shooting, and shortens a shoulder mounted camera package. With an external viewfinder, you’re no longer trapped behind your camera. You can have your camera on a dolly or crane or in a car or anywhere and have the EVF in your hand.

The EVF Snap has our standard Zacuto Z-Finder Frame built into the unit. Any Z-finder model, Pro or Jr, can snap on and off the EVF. You can use the EVF as a small on-board monitor or in combination with any Zacuto Z-finder.

Marauder DSLR Gorilla

Marauder DSLR Gorilla

The Marauder is the first of its kind, a foldable DSLR run’n’gun rig. It’s small enough to fit in your back pocket but when unfolded, it’s an extremely stable DSLR camera support.

The Marauder is similar to one of our most popular DSLR kits, the Striker. But, as opposed to our Striker (which is composed of multiple parts and rods that are highly adjustable and can be reconfigured in an infinite amount of positions) the Marauder unfolds instantly to fit you and is ready to shoot in seconds. It folds up just as fast and can then fit into any carry on, backpack, purse, camera bag or cargo pants pocket. The Marauder includes both a gunstock and an adjustable handgrip to create a small stable framework.

The Marauder includes our
Gorilla Plate V2 as the platform for your camera. You can attach your Zacuto Z-Finder Mounting Frame to this Gorilla Plate V2. Attach your camera to the plate with the single ¼ 20 screw and quick release on and off the Marauder with the red quick release ratcheting lever. The Gorilla Plate can be attached at two different points. Keep the Marauder in a vertical position for use with a Zacuto Z-Finder. This will give you the correct distance from your eye to the Z-Finder eyecup. Extend the Marauder via the red push lever to place the camera further away for use without a Z-Finder. This gives you a bit more distance to focus on the camera LCD.

The handgrip can be adjusted into five different positions for individual comfort and is locked with the release of the red lever. The grip itself also articulates and locks with red locking lever. Built into the Marauder is a gunstock with a comfy rubber pad. Adjust the angle and/or position of the gunstock with the two Allen screws to conform to your body size and shape.

The Marauder folds up by first quick releasing your camera off the rig. Then push the red push lever to snap the camera support arm down. Push down on the silver circular cap to flip the gunstock away and depress the paddle lever to tuck the handle in place next to the gunstock. Reverse to quickly get the Marauder ready to shoot!
