• The YTL8314 from Giottos is

  a carbon fiber tripod from the company’s Silk Road Series that includes

  such features as a transverse center column and patented Y-tube design.

  At

  its base the carbon fiber 4-section legs are the center of the tripod’s

  design, allowing for a maximum height of 55.9″, a minimum height of

  just 7.9″, and a folded length of 22.8″ for easy transport and storage.

  The addition of Giotto’s Y-Tube center column also makes the tripod

  thinner, not just shorter, allowing for a 30% slimmer folded

  diameter than most other tripod’s in its class. Its minimum height is

  also achieved via the use of a special feature, the transverse center

  column. This allows the column to move both vertically and horizontally

  for macro photography, product photography, and more.

  With

  a load capacity of 22 lb, the YTL8314 is a great match for almost any

  tripod head in the Giotto’s lineup, and can easily support a wide range

  of cameras, from DSLRs to mirrorless and compact point-and-shoots. It’s

  carbon fiber construction also keeps the overall weight down to just 4.2 lb, a fairly lightweight and transportable load for such a wide

  range of features.
