FINE HONEYCOMB GRID WITH GEL HOLDER
The Novatron Fine Honeycomb Grid with Gel Holder is a simple attachment for creating a narrower beam of light. With an added Gel Holder attachment. Fits all flash heads and the 2032 6.5″ reflector that fits all of the current bare tube heads.
Our 4520 is a great way to contain light to a very specific area. The honeycomb grid is fine, for the tightest spot.
For a softer grid spot you’ll want the companion 4620.
It features a deep rear rim and snaps in place on the front rim of all Novaton’s 6.5″ reflectors. It fully covers the instrument’s reflector to avoid spill. It can be readjusted over the reflector, 360 degrees, for optimal use.
The 8″x 8″ channel holds any one of the filters found in the 4021 Gel and Diffusion Material Kit.
Use it with our flash heads that have built-in reflectors or on the 2032 reflector that fits all of our current bare tube heads, Monolight, and continuous lights.

Keep in mind this rig emphasizes compactness over everything else. Like any piece of extreme lightweight gear, it can be a little more finicky. Circular Polarizing Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare
by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a
non-metallic surface. The light from the sun naturally becomes partially
polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light
to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges, and
filters, this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected
light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a
noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an
increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.
A circular polarizer only differs from a linear polarizer in
that it contains a quarter wave plane in addition to the linear polarizing
filter. The addition of this quarter wave plane is to circularly polarize the
linearly polarized light for the use of auto focus and exposure functions. Due
to how the light is broken down and filtered with a linear polarizer, auto
focus and exposure accuracy become skewed during use. When the light becomes
circularly polarized, it permits the use of these functions.
